I got an offer from amazon and it was a relocate one. Only one week to decide, hr told me no way to extend deadline. Is this true or hr is just try to push me?
One week is pretty normal in the startup world, especially when the hire is for a specific opening. Every day that the offer is in your hands is one more day where they are not making progress toward filling that opening.
And how is Amazon a startup?
I was given a day to decide since they agreed to outmatch my counter offer. But in general, a week is standard. You can ask for an extension. They’ll probably extend it by 2-3 days max.
Don’t worry even if you decline, they will still ping you after a month if you had change of mind. They try to pressurize the candidate, from looking for more options.
What role is it and how much is the TC?
The TC better be out of this world.
God damn it! It’s recruiter, NOT HR!
Are you saying it's recruiter imposing these deadlines? Do they have such power? Btw, who determines the offer package? Hiring manager? HR? Recruiter?
No I’m tired of people calling recruiter, HR.
Damm one week is too short..they prolly don't want you to negotiate with this offer to other companies..
