amazon product rollout
what do you all think of these new echo products? echo loop, echo frames, echo buds? i like the concepts, and i like that these futuristic devices are becoming a reality now (while simultaneously jeapordizing our privacy), but im curious if you all think that Amazon will be a major player in these markets, or if were just witnessing another round of mediocre amazon products like the fire line. personally, i really applaud amazon for their efforts with Echo and alexa, and im excited to see what the future of these products looks like
Wearables feel like ages behind google glass, and that failed miserably. I expect the echo ring and glasses to be discontinued in less than a year. Push to integrating Alexa into household appliances seems like a good idea, and will probably stay.
The buds look like a good deal. $130 for wireless earbuds with pass through is pretty good.
Agreed , given that they have Bose ANC at that price point.
And don’t forget Echo Glow! WTH?
Echo Show at 5, 8, 10 inches. Next year: Echo Show at 6 and 7 inches.
Echo Buds are awesome.
They looked like cheap knockoffs of products other companies already make, or were just dumb products (eg Loop) that I can't imagine any sane person buying. Makes me kind of embarrassed to work for Amazon.
You can’t deny the success of the echo and Alexa. If they continue to improve over time, the effect of having a personal assistant 24/7 could be huge
Their success is limited to phones and devices that are essentially glorified speakers. All of the other applications of Alexa have been novelties that don't have widespread appeal or Alexa is just tacked onto it and doesn't see widespread use. I think these products are going to crash and burn like the Fire Phone.
