Is it enough to support a family? My wife and one kid.
Which city in Germany? Munich and Hamburg are the most expensive ones. Frankfurt, Berlin and Cologne are a bit better. What is your lifestyle like? House or apartment? Car or public transport? Eating out or cooking? Any expensive hobbies? How often and how far do you go on vacation? Where do you live now and how high are your monthly expenses?
65k Euro annually seems low
My friend had 88k 4 years back from Intel not sure it is USD or Euro
definitely not enough to support a family
It's very good for Germany, but it's not going to leave with you with as much money. But personally as someone who has spent my life between America and Europe I'd suggest Europe is a better place to raise kids
yes, I do this for my kid, thx for your reply.
65k is not good at all . Minimum ask for 85K.
I wish I could get a better offer
Shit. I’m currently making 65k in Munich with 4yoe (fullstack: Java+js) and thought that would be above average. Now you say 85k is normal for that yoe? Recruiters told me it is impossible for someone with my yoe to get near 80k. 70k is Max, they told me
I would look for something equivalent to Glassdoor over there . actually glassdoor might have some international data?
Seems a little low but not terrible. If money isn't your main motivation which obviously isn't , go for it, prove your credibility and get an according bump in a year or 2.
