tc=350k nw=1.3M (only 230k in 401k most in taxable) 1 kid yoe=13 was thinking of getting a 40-50k car perhaps slightly used maybe BMW 3 series. is this wise?
Yes. I believe you can even afford a 100k car. Do what you value and enjoy. Dont have to be super frugal like losers from r/personalfinance or some people on blind
Humble brag.
Depends, are you having a midlife crisis or is that still upcoming? Need to save for a corvette
Lease it.. if you don't love it, return back.
Its personal preference and you’ll get different views so no benefit asking here. But because you already did I’ll give my view. Its a Depreciating asset.. I learned this after buying 80k car which is in excellent condition and 13k miles. Still values is 27k in 5 years. But at the same time YOLO. Do it as you can afford it easily
You dont need to buy a 80k car to YOLO. Wheneevr i feel the itch to drive something better , i rent a FType or Tesla on TURO. Thats it. Drove it for a day or two and get done with it. As it stands I try all newer fancy cars without getting atuck with a massive depreciating asset
Unless you must drive to work and want to enjoy your driving time. “yoloing” with FType or Tesla, oh man you have a high standard 🙄🤦♂️
"Is this wise?" No, of course not. But you can afford it, so if it makes you happy, go for it.
You can get a 3 series for less than 20 😂
Please don’t. You don’t deserve a BMW! That’s only for people who have $1B NW
Get a used CPO 320i . Costs about 20k. You get the badge .
No, you are allergic to gluten, stop asking for this already. It's not worth your life!
Is a taco a sandwich?
