I think you would get more reception if you Venmo like half of discount to the Apple employee. Otherwise there is no upside for them. They would rather give it to friends and family

Most employees are really chill with their discounts because you can purchase upto 10 (maybe 15?) using the friends and family discount.
Student discount is generally on par with employee discount
