i am currently working at BAH for over a year now. hired fresh off college. was a math major with emphasis to computer science. i have been struggling to get swe internships in my college days due to my major? i wasnt sure because no company would contact me. BAH came in and saved my ass with an internship then job. now im finding i have no work to do in this company and the pay is low, i really want to go in FAANG and starting actually growing in terms of skillsets. my coding skills are below average but im very good with the theories. should i just spam leet code and other helps to start preping for an interview and start applying? i like to do client interactions/traveling but i also love to sit and code all day. how should i begin? tc:60k
Math majors will definitely absolutely in a million years be NOT BE discredited from CS roles.
So is there a way to make myself stand out? We take almost the same classes in college
Build shit like crazy and networking like crazy. Go on LinkedIn and add 10 recruiters per company at like 15 companies you’re interested in
If you’re bad programming, start making shit! If you’re bad at data structures and algos, grind those

This has the look and feel of a computer generated question. I’ll bite anyway. If you are passionate about coding and can put in the time to learn and perfect your skills, it’s doable. Most folks give up after sometime, but if you persist, magic can happen. Just LC away!
It doesn't always has to be faanmg, just find a better job and keep growing.
I’ll give you a kidney for a citadel referral next year 👀
Why next year?
