Microsoft 62 is high sde2 (also azure is perceived to have higher hiring bar), OCI IC2 is entry level. Go for microsoft. The difference in the comp will probably be offset by stock growth. OCI will be dead soon, no stock growth today either.
So, over the 4 years, the ms offer is 25k higher. Why are you even considering the oci offer?
Level mismatch.. potential for growth and promotion..
What makes you think the potential for growth is any higher at oci? MS is one of the only tech companies that actually has a real career path once you get to senior. Other companies have those roles but they are very difficult to come by. Many of the google boomerangs I know cite this as they reason they came back to ms. If you are doing cloud stuff you will have very high potential for growth and promo at ms. Promo to 63 in a year should be possible. After that 63-64 isnt particularly difficult either. 65 is a little harder but pretty common especially in azure. When you get to l65 you'll know what you need to do to get l66+. It took me Lee's than 3 years to get promoted from 65-66.
