Are you contracting someone else to do engineering work or are you doing it yourself? This is not clear cut. It’s like not you’re buying a bag of potatoes. It all depends on what your service will do and complexity. You should sign up for AWS free tier when you are ready (you get one year)
<100/month Host static web on github. You can host a full angular site as static. Use opensource auth and graphql on minimal container/vm in azure or gce.
And yes, code everything yourself
Can you elaborate over your ultimate goal? It depends on the type of web app, whether you need high availability and scalability. Would you be required to setup cloud infrastructure or inhouse server etc.
Just use Heroku and only pay for usage costs. Don’t mess around with your own AWS, it’s too much effort and complication. Also, it should be less than $50/month to start.
