current political climate

I have always been a democrat but lately getting frustrated with the politics in US. it used to be about helping middle class but now its about taxing anything that moves and giving people free stuff. Not a fan of Trump but wondering if im the only dem seeing it like this?

You’re not alone. I’m not registered for either party but tend to vote dem. Based on the way the candidacy is going / free hand outs I’ll likely vote Trump.

Careful, if you don't post acceptable, approved left wing stuff, your post might get flagged 🤣🤣

I’m still Democrat but don’t like the candidates this time around and the “bold” new ideas like wealth tax.

Uhhhhhh sanders is ALL ABOUT helping the middle class, you troll

He said “Billionaires shouldn’t exist”. I don’t agree with that. You don’t have to be a republican to disagree with a democrat.

He is just another commie in disguise. How many times do we have to see history repeat before we learn? Socialism and communism don’t work!

Not a Dem but feel both parties are only few degrees separated on tax policies (Bernie / Warren are not representative of Dems). For decades tax burden has been shifting to middle class, whereas historically uber rich and corporations paid much more. Corporate lobbying has made R and D both shift the tax burden to the middle class (you, me and rest of Blind). Inequality will destroy our model of society like nothing else. Current climate reflects some Dems trying to capitalize on populism not make actual structural reforms. Middle class suffers regardless.

I think the shift began around the 80s where corporations and the ridiculously wealthy-- meaning absolutely none of you on blind with high tc-- began paying less and less taxes

Trump raised taxes on the middle class. Try looking at actual data on tax rates over time

eBay TegridyFrm Oct 20, 2019

TL;DR: To a large degree, the gap between perception and reality on the tax cuts appears to flow from a sustained — and misleading — effort by liberal opponents of the law to brand it as a broad middle-class tax increase.

Politicians always promise shit before an election. Fortunately, it is Congress, not the President that writes the budget.

“Um I’m dem and I’m not sure if I like this free stuff talk, so I think I’ll vote for a treasonous embarrassing mentally-challenged clown instead”. Lol. Try better next time.

Thank you for your unbiased engagement. I learned a lot.

I’m not unbiased. I’m very much biased against traitor morons.

There are plenty of Dems running that are not giving away everything for free.

They’re not winning currently though.
