I had a take home data challenge assigned for a data science internship. Today I had an interview to review the code and queries I wrote. the interviewer pointed out i made some mistakes with 1/5 SQL queries and my model was overfit to my data during parameter tuning. Otherwise he said i noticed the key points in the data. He liked my intuition when choosing a method as well and noted my code was immaculate and well documented. Did I bomb this interview? I cant tell, its only my first techinical challenge and i dont have tons of experience.
If this was for Disney, don't even worry about it.
No, they just needed someone to get that task off their backlog. You did good. Now go interview at a company that respects your time.
Regardless of the outcome, don’t sweat it. It’s practice for the next one. Your time is better spent studying what you did wrong and learning from your mistakes.
Thank you!
No, you didn't. Does that help?
Your answer changed while I was reading it. It seems like you’re annoyed with me, sorry. I just needed advice
Not at all. There is very little help you can get from strangers on Blind though, as you just realized. Wishing you all the best though.
Wait for the ticker my friend !!! 💣
Ok
