Would anybody know what the projected average compensation would be for a director in the Seattle area? (software + operations space, 14+years of experience) I get conflicting messages from glassdoor, paysa, etc. #SeattleNewbie
Like a movie director?
250k base, 200k stock, 25% bonus, 100k RSU refreshers. That is a minimum for a medium size company. 401k match and fully covered healthcare is a must as well. ESPP at a 15% discount would be a nice touch. Quarterly vesting of RSUs.
Is that real? It seems out of the scale.
Out of scale too high or low?
D1 at FB, 300k, 30% bonus, 1.2M/year in stock, 250k sign on
Is that stock number counting growth? I can’t believe they’d give 4.8M stock as initial grant for D1.
That must be a D2. That is nearly $2M in first year. Well into Amazon L10 territory, L9 range at Google. Numbers previously reported on Blind have all been $1-$1.5M range.
Most likely you will not be matched at Director in FANG so that may not be a direct comparison. In general the rule of thumb is anywhere between 10-30% TC bump so you can evaluate

Depends on the company.
Dell & Amazon. I'd guess Amazon would be the higher of the two, but what would be a good range to negotiate (TC)? again #SeattleNewbie
Amazon is probably 600-900
