the question always comes up. Recruiter: “btw, do you have any other offers lined up? whats your timeline?” whats the best way to deal with this? first off, it may be obvious to just say “yeah i have other offers.” or “im looking at other companies”. this shows you have other options and may give them the impression they’ll have to compete. but at the same time, hiring managers might also think they’re being used as leverage to get better offers somewhere else. Is this scenario worthy of even considering? how to best deal with this scenario?
The only reason I want to know is if you have a competing offer. This usually incentivizes a recruiter to process you faster and get you an offer to consider. I dont care if you're interviewing with other companies. You're trying to take care of yourself and potentially a family. I've heard some agency recruiters care but screw them, you have to do what's right for yourself.
If hiring managers are scared that a candidate is capable of getting a job somewhere else you probably don't want to work at that company.
Yes, you should let a recruiter know if you are close to getting an offer. That will speed up the process. Don't provide any details regarding the company or TC.
Timeline, yes be very explicit about your timeline. The recruiter doesn't know if you're trying to get hired ASAP or in 9 months. When I was searching, I told them a general month I was hoping to be hired by. As time went on, I had a specific hire date. Other companies, give them the "Yes I'm interviewing at several other large tech companies."

Why are women naked in gym?
I do, because I do. Never put all your money in one stock. Never apply to just one place. Never chase just one girl.
Even if you are a girl?
No, in that case, you can try to attract multiple guys.
