Hi, Have an onsite interview with dropbox next week. Any pointers about interview process or preparation is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
There is a token system that has a max of N tokens allowed at a time. Design a throttling system. Design DropBox
Depends on the level. Higher the level the more architecture questions you get. L2 = 3 coding 1 arch 1 personality, L3 = 2 coding 2 arch 1 personality. There’re a fixed set of questions but knowing them beforehand doesn’t help (even hurt) cause the questions are designed to have a lot of variations. Most questions have 3 parts, depending on the level the expectations are different
It makes sense for system design but how does it vary in terms of coding problems? Doesn't the difficulty remain same for all levels?
What about ic4+?
All questions are on Glassdoor
from an interviewer stand point, what do you look for in candidates at IC3 level especially around design and deep dive round? thanks
Why do you guys don't change questions then?
prepare game of life question
Do they ask the same question to everyone?
yeah they have list of 10-15 questions and they mostly ask variations of those. During my interview, the variations were drastic that even knowing the question before hand doesn’t help much.
