fb referral question

Hello, I am wondering... if a facebook employee refers me for an internship and I reside in the u.s. but the fte resides in europe. Will the referral count for u.s. postions ? Or will it count for only european positions? Or does it count for both? Edit - also does anyone know if facebook is still recruiting interns? Thanks! TC -10K
