Wow this is such a unique experience. I interviewed with fb three weeks ago. Last week, I was asked to do a followup ML interview. Today, I was asked to do a followup coding interview. The process is a bit lengthy. And it’s my little rant
Just go in and kick ass, stop spending your time on Blind and prepare.
If you don’t mind me asking, why do you want to move from google to fb?
Followup interviews are intended to validate your skills that may not have been covered during initial interviews. After my onsite and Skip levels, I was asked for another followup over phone, on system design. I got the offer soon, although its funny that I got the standard system generated email that “While your experience.. blah blah” and in next couple of days I had the offer letter.
My interview process with Facebook took 5 months. 5 months!!!!! I was originally referred for a job that I didn’t get. Fortunately my interviewer put me in another pipeline and while that process took some time it led to the opportunity of a lifetime. In retrospect, I’m really, really glad I didn’t get the original job.
Intense
This exact thing happened to me. I went onsite and then was asked to do a follow up coding interview and then a follow up ML interview. Ended up getting the offer and accepting a role as an ML eng :)
All the best! Looks like there are high chances of getting offer if there is a follow up
Someone there massively screwed up. Usually, if they must, they will do one more interview after the onsite but not two.
Definitely better than direct reject... Hang in there and good luck!
Might be like super boundary... haha thanks
If you’re on the boundary we usually just reject. Follow ups are for cases where we felt that your performance wasn’t an accurate reflection of your ability - which could be for any number of reasons.
