what are the highest paying companies in san diego. yoe is 1.
I’d be interested in this as well. SD’s tech scene seems really weak. As far as I am aware, either Intuit or Amazon is the leader for SDE roles. Microsoft is present, but my understanding was they mostly have marketing roles in SD. Not sure about the others.
San Diego is where tech careers go to die. Biotech in San Diego is promising but it’s not FAANG.
Yeah, this. SD is mostly a biotech hub, with a handful of satellites for tech companies present + a large collection of defense places.
Seems like most tech/defence companies in SD should pay about 150-200 for a senior+ software eng. Im at Viasat which is nutoriuous for weak bonuses and stock and still getting 160 TC and I am just breaking into a more senior role. So I guess getting paid like a new grad at Intuit. Only a handful of higher paying companies. Apple, Amazon, Inuit. Maybe Intel? Some medical device companies offer nice bonus structures like Dexcom. But no major FAANG HQs. Makes SD the perfect city to live in if you land a high pay tech job. Because you will double most engineering income here. Making home buying easy relative to LA or the Bay.
