iPhone - Middle School
My middle school kid wants an iPhone. My household is all Android. I can't justify the iPhone pricing. I just don't want em to feel left out if their other friends have it. All until elementary I could reason it out for anything but with em growing up I want to make right decision. Coworker told me something about green and blue ticks on iMessage. Suggestions? TC: 400k
If you are afraid of them feeling left out (and if that affects your decision) then you should be afraid of many more things coming in their future life.
Get them an iPhone SE, they’re pretty cheap nowadays

OP didn't say can't afford. S/he said can't JUSTIFY. Justifying the price has nothing to do with the affordability.
If OP can't justify, no one on the world could justify that pricing.
If you wanna go with an iPhone and concerned about its prices, maybe you can try a refurbished one or a used one, they can be cheaper than new android devices. I remember that buying a refurbished one from Apple comes with full 1 year warranty, which is same as a new one.
Stop being a cheap ass and get your kid an iPhone...doesn’t have to be the latest and greatest, but their friend will have them and FaceTime FoMo is a real thing
iPhones contribute to bullying, pretty amazing world we live in
Give them a way to make money to buy it themselves.

Get the iPhone. Don’t let your kid feel like an outcast so you could save 25 dollars. We al know - androids are uncool and iphones are cool. Regardless of functions and usability
