is facebook a stressful sweatshop (terrible wlb) compared to other top tech companies?
Money is good though.

Wlb is really bad (wife is there), but they pay really well and promote fast. A friend (who's technically really strong and also works like 16 hours a day) went from new grad to L5 in 3.5 years.
Facebook seems like a waste of time to me. I’m passing on their offer.
It's definitely not a waste of TIME. You learn a lot in a very short time. But you can say it's waste of life or health or mentality if you don't want to work crazy hours.
Depends a lot on team. Poll would be much more helpful if only FB/XFB voted too
Can you post the same poll to the Facebook private group then post the results as a screenshot here?
And people keep saying “depends on team” and I’m reading that as “roll the dice when you join”. Not very encouraging
My guess is OP has never worked in an actual factory before.
Do they pay? Because if fb doesn’t then it’s a sweatshop but if not you’re just putting in the work for what you get paid.
Dude, didn’t you already decline their offer? Why create a new post every few weeks to cry about FB’s wlb? Either man-up and take it, else move on. Please.

Is Amazon really that bad if you work 60-80 hour weeks anyway?
Would love it if someone at Facebook would share any similar internal polls from the Facebook group.
