building projects in a programming language to amp up my resume
Amazon isn’t impressed by anything except leetcode medium-hard
I am on it buddy actually I started like two weeks ago and was solving like one problem a day and was learning a lot and starting to see some patterns then I saw this serialize and deserialize problem that just made feel so out of sync but I will get back to it ..but it was a hard knock for sure
Cool projects are language agnostic, and you're not impressing anybody lmao.
Well Facebook guru , can you tell me what kind of projects a software developer with 2 years work experience (c++, Java & lil python) can build
Hotdog. Not hotdog app.
generally big companies don’t care too much about side projects
Then how do you impress them to enough to give you a chance? Referral with mediocre resume?
improve your resume via projects at the day job
Are you talking about an iOS app or other nich Swift use case?
Both
Keep in mind iOS also involves learning the frame work besides Swift.
Only Apple cares about your Swift. Who needs Swift in 2019 when we have React native... smh
Having swift in your resume may or may not be helpful. But putting experience on working on some Android or iOS application sure will help. Even more impressive if you could publish them to App store and get some downloads and visibility by that. Easiest way however would be finding someone to refer. Once your resume is picked, nothing else matters other than your interview performance.
Why would amazon care about swift lmao
That is the question..I have been working for the last 2 years with C++ and haven’t really had many cool projects(outside work) to show #diversity so I thought of swift .. got better option?
