How’s uber a growth company when it has already matured. 10yo. stock has been going down the hill and there is no sign of reversal. Sad for all the folks working there.

Uber should be given the respect it deserves. It revolutionized the domain it plays in. Come on man/woman/rest.

It’s disgusting see many write Uber is not a tech company and just bunch of app developers and recently comparison with wework. Uber is a public company that has a worldwide operation and highly diversified business. Snap, twitter and many of these companies went through layoffs. Is everything fine with Uber ? No! But for sure it’s not as bad as media writes it off!

Uber’s ride business is not profitable. At all.

fyi, we actually have more money in the bank than last quarter. And ride is profitable with better margin this time

That’s why our stock is low :)
As long as we have more and more money in the bank each quarter I am fine with it

I have no idea which financials Uber guy is looking at. Not the ones Uber released.

Age of a company is not how I would define mature. There's an argument to be made that it's still a growth company as revenue increased 30% YoY.

I don’t think a billion plus loss per quarter is applicable to its current growth stage. It’s their decision anyway.

That's the thing, you have to define what a growth and mature company is to you to have a better discussion. Otherwise posts will be about each poster's personal definition.
