No way in hell. At my level in ms there were 3 entries (yes only 3) 335k, 370k, 410k. Somehow they got 256k for median. It's a big joke.
Tc numbers are a joke. Sometimes a higher level maps to lower tc.

Amazon SDE2 is typically L7 or E7 at F/G. Jeff Dean will probably land as SDE3 at Amazon.

Hi, Im from Levels.fyi. We recieved a few reports from hiring managers and principal engineers recently at FANG companies that our previous leveling was inaccurate specifically for Amazon. We've reverted these changes for now as we reach out to even more sources to confirm the changes. We'll provide an update and some of the thinking behind this as soon as we have more information.

Levels, how is the chart rendered? Is the only data point the TC offers - base, equity, bonus?
Understand why this can happen. I think what a lot of people here don't realize is that leveling isnt an exact science. The website even has a disclaimer at the bottom. Just cuz the mapping shows an L4 and one company being L5 at another it may be true for 50% of people but there will always be exceptions. Levelsfyi is tremendously useful for getting a range of where you may end up. I don't think anyone will ever be able to make an exact mapping. Appreciate the levels folks for the site. Hope to see it continue to improve. They are very receptive towards feedback based on their history on blind.
With great power comes great responsibilities. There is difference between variance due to the subjective nature, and going totally off the board though.
Absolutely. Keep in mind Amazon has fewer levels than most other companies (just 6 vs 7-8+ at others). although I'm not sure what reasoning is behind this change it's not completely off the rails.
Since when did L5 eat into the range of E4 and T4?
