Honestly if you failed that many, you shouldn’t keep trying until you figure out why they rejected you. Change or fix that thing, then and only then try again.

The feedback i always get is you did great but we found a better fit. I am not sure what that means

That’s a standard non-answer. You didn’t “wow” them for some reason.

Interviews are not only about providing a solution to a problem, but also how you came up with that solution and what was your thinking process. If you solve everything perfectly they can't really say you did poorly because you didn't, but the top companies might still reject you if they find someone else who is also great at describing the problem, seeing it from different angles or even just talking about it. It might not be the case for you tho, no way for me to tell but this is an idea you can explore

Blaming diversity is such a cop out from people who truly don't meet the bar. It just means to discredit underrepresented coworkers.

The diversity thing is real guys (I’m an EM and have been asked to give preference. Didn’t mean compromise on interview process though!)

Motivating you to keep trying would be wrong. Figure out which round you are failing, is it coding, is it sys desg, fix it then try harder. No point in just keep trying if you are not ready. May be you need to focus on studying. Scheduling full loop and going through it is draining and not worth the time if you are not ready.

8 rejections and you feel like a loser already? Gosh, it's surprising how much value we give to our careers and interviews.

Calling yourself a loser is being so harsh on yourself. First you need to understand you are more than the job your do or the money you make.

Second, interview rejections are a part of the process. You failed 8, I have failed 20 and I still haven't lost hope. I am learning and improving. I know so much more today than what I knew an year ago. So keep it at.

Third, there are a lot of factors that play a role during interviews. Your knowledge is a part of it. Other factors include how you structure your answers, your experience, other candidates who applied for the same position, and damn luck! Don't take those rejections personally.

Fourth, take a break, analyze (if you can) what you lacked and learn. Practice with a buddy and do some mocks. All the best.

Gonna be the only honest one here: you are probably not likable or deemed cool enough to fit in with the colleagues at the company.

  • Look I see a lot of Folks BS here with no idea why you’re not getting hired. Sure you can have any number of issues but we have no idea what those are. You asked for motivation.... this makes me wonder if you are really interested in these careers or companies. I have been turned down plenty when I didn’t bring enthusiasm and resolve to my interviews. At least 15 times. It meant my heart wasn’t in it. Is that what interviewers feel about you? If you want this be relentless. Hard work is important but, believing in yourself is more important, having will in your guts is essential. Read unfuck yourself by Gary John Bishop.

How often do you try to optimize your answer on leetcode.are you always trying to beat other peoples time and memory? Doing for the sake of doing is not enough. You gotta see patterns.

Sounds like your resume and profile is working since you’re landing phone screen. So it’s either you’re targeting wrong type of roles or code screening. Get feedback so you can hone in.

Remember, majority of these companies don't want to have false positives... And they are ok to have false negatives => you might be awesome and still get rejected.

Also, worth looking whether you had the stamina to go through the marathon of back to back interviews for 5 hours. That could be a reason why one can't be the best during on-site
