For those who use managed macOS based systems at work, do you guys get to work on latest OS always? Apple keeps releasing the latest and greatest OS every year but due to complications, compatibility and other things our IT dept doesn’t allow or doesn’t provide the new OS upgrades to employees immediately( mostly takes a year for IT to fully support that year’s OS) I just feel bad that I don’t get to use their latest OS on the greatest hardware. By looking at the majority of macOS users, who are corporate employees; what benefit does Apple get by releasing it every year?
I would posit your IT + devops need more Linux and app-stack training. OS upgrades should not be that debilitating.
I would sneak them in.
Tried it but no luck.. can’t upgrade it.
Is it stuck on an MDM & no local admin creds?
Why is the enterprise tied to the OS version. Especially since these upgrades are largely incremental. I think this is just complacency tied to the multi-year gaps between Windows releases

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me ‘a look’ because I tipped her 10% for ‘BAD service!’
We can usually upgrade unless an explicit reason is given (eg some company-wide bloatware they put on all machines) doesn’t support it.
