im a UC Berkeley senior graduating with a degree in data science. im trying to get an entry level data analyst/science role at larger companies. ive found it difficult to get my foot in the door and find roles that are willing to consider new grads i have previous internship experience and a 3.7 GPA. any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated, resume can be provided upon request
Not bad to take a contract role to develop yourself and gain experience immediately if you need to start earning immediately
You’ve got a good degree from a great school with a solid major, you’ll find something soon
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I’m a DA and recent college grad (May 2019). BuiltInLA (there’s a “BuiltIn” for most major cities I think) was my go to for my 1st few interviews. There’s a whole section for data roles and there were really great companies listed. I’d try that! Tip: previous exp and side projects are all the recruiters I spoke too seemed to care about so highlight those as well as you can.
Thank you so much! I've looked into roles at Yelp, would I be able to pick your brain regarding them?
In a similar position as op. Very difficult to get foot in the door as an undergrad
Aren't you at fb?
