team : oracle public cloud base 165k rsu: 4500 no sign on position ic3 manager said might give 20k max sign on as i have other offers. please help. should i reject as its low ball ?
I think position decides the RSU. This is around 165 + 55 = 210k comp. it really depends on what other offers you have. For you to say low ball you must have better one or are you trying to compare with ic4? Even there base will be 170ish I believe. RSU will be higher. I have an offer too and evaluating at the moment.
Oracle is a sinking ship.
Okay, that’s a possibility if they don’t nail the cloud. At an ENGG level does it matter if you do the work and get good money for it?
How many years of experience you have?
5-6
the annoying thing is i have 2 other offers roughly around 225k. but none of the company sounded that they want to hire me. its like take it or leave it we dont care. i thought hiring in bay area is difficult and most of the time companies do give some additional cash. in my case i definitely expect some extra as i have 3-4 offers in hand
Ic3 can go all the way upto 280-300k
i asked to make it 250k and i will sign offer letter. manager said not possible
Dude, try to negotiate better. You're letting him know that you would want to accept their offer. Always have the ball in your court!
how come ? i clearly said 250k is what will make me join this company. obviously i will take this offer and go to other company
That ain't true

That’s a good offer for ic3. How can you say 220k a low ball offer?
On top of that you can expect 40k per year rsu. After four years it could be close to 380 assuming you are performing well.
How much you make at Cisco now. Let’s hear how highly valued you are.
