If you had an idea and wanted to bust out a proof of concept how quicky could you do it? I wish I was better but I get stuck deciding on different parts of the stack, learning new technologies, and being too careful with the architectural design. I lose interest way before the proof of concept is done. Any tips for me? I feel like if I had one stack i was good at i could bust out a bunch of different ideas quickly. is that the key?
Focus on the goal (the "final" proof of concept) instead of the process. Why the f are you focused on architectural design? It's a proof of concept!!!!! Prove a concept asap and if it sticks, THEN worry about improving the architecture You would benefit from reading The Lean Startup by Eric Ries

Most of the engineers who work on an idea, focus on tech problem instead of real work problem. Focus on the later first and then hack something together to get it out early. Don't make it your hobby project where you want to learn and use best tech.
The key is to cut out everything that's not absolutely required. Everytime I wanna add new tech ask if it will impress a non-techy friend. Keep it focused and simple as possible
