Ask for my friend (fresh new grad, Machine Learning master, publications in ACL/EMNLP, etc.), got a startup offer: Location: Bay Area Round: Pre-Series B # of employees: ~40 Base: 140k Stocks: 30k options (0.1%) YoE: New Grad (Masters) He is pretty happy about the base salary. Is there room for negotiating stocks? If so, strategy for negotiation?
