Hello, I have an interview coming up with linkedin for a software engineer role with system and infrastructure org. My recruiter told me that there will be 3 design rounds and 2 coding rounds. She told me that one of the design rounds would be around designing a scalable web app and others would be more "infrastructure based". I am not sure what she meant by that and she couldn't clarify it further. Can anyone who has recently interviewed with linkedin shed some light on this? thanks! yoe: 1.5
Hey did you apply online or a recruiter reached out to you?
Applied online
Are you interviewing for staff engineer? Last I heard senior had 3 coding 1 manager and 1 design in linkedin
That’s a lot of system design
Tell me about it. Any idea what kind of questions they usually ask in these?
Entry level Swe? Didn't that just opened today?
yoe 1.5 3 system design rounds good job linkedin. i don't know what are they smoking, but check these out https://habr.com/en/company/google/blog/436186/ https://landing.google.com/sre/workbook/chapters/non-abstract-design/ not much you can do for sys design tbh, it mostly comes from experience.
Haha! Thanks a lot :) I am guessing they want to cover different aspects of design : multithreading, web app etc
@OP mind if I Dm you ?
What all questions were you asked OP in your design interviews?
