yoe 8 currently sr. software engineer at Cisco base 145K + RSU 225K vested in 4 years + bonus 15% (this year around 32K) so TC around 233K got an offer for sr. eng at Rally Health base 165K + RSU 250K vested in 4 years + bonus 15K (not sure about bonus but according to the recruiter 95% of employees got it this year and the average is 15K) so TC around 242.5K. there is 15K sign on so it will be slightly higher first year. also there could be yearly equity refresh split between RSU and NSO (last years average 35K). the rally offer looks a tad better in terms of tc but then the RSU vesting schedule is inferior (vested later and end of year each year vs. cisco 1 year cliff then quarterly). really not sure if it's worth the hassle to move. What do you guys think?
Don't move for such a small bump unless you really dislike Cisco

Your TC looks incredible for cisco as this is the max RSU i have seen at Cisco for your grade (judging 8 by bonus 12%)
my bad it's grade 10 so 15%. half of the rsu is retention offer.
How is 15% bonus equals 32k? You might have got higher IPF but not guaranteed for the future. Also if half of the RSU is retention meaning they counter offered ? In that case for sure you won’t get high IPF next year and given bullshit reasons for that
correct, bonus amount is not guaranteed. i didn't tell cisco my rally offer though, just got the retention rsu out of the blue.. i guess it was to compensate for my low base..
Like others suggested, wait for atleast 50% or more tc bump.
Heard Rally has a 50-50 RSU/NSO split. @qio Is your offer $125K worth of RSUs + $125K worth NSUs ? Or is it straight $250K worth of RSUs ?
