Got referred for a principal PM-T position at AWS and was told that the first step is a “technical phone interview” with the hiring manager. I’m not sure what does the “technical” adjective mean in this context. Does anybody have an idea how such a first phone interview looks like, how technical it can be and which kinds of questions I should expect?
What level? Technical is expected to be at system design level. They did ask me design questions and well architected designs.
The full job title says “Principal Product Manager - Technical”.
Then it is L7. You must have some solid background then. Rely on your experience prepare the LPs. Explain the technical solutions that you had developed in the past. You should be alright.
How did the interview go?
Ask the recruiter if it's coding?
