tesla wlb and comp
hey guys i am planning to move from apple to tesla. can someone shed some light on how WLB is at tesla, i have hard stories that its bad. going from apple , i feel i have seen the worst here. does tesla offer 160K base, my YOE 4.5 in embedded software engineering. i am looking at firmware positions at Tesla
How long does it take to get the offer after onsite interview?
Have a friend who works at Tesla and he works about 60 hours every week.

Pays less and WLB doesn't exist. You are supposed to work for the "mission" not for the money.
Tesla’s wlb is awful, I passed on my internship offer from them partly because even my interviewers admitted wlb is bad and 60 hour weeks are standard. Not sure about their full time comp but intern pay is only $32/hr

None who have commented here with there. Work life balance is fine. Nothing too crazy but expect 9 to 6 or 630. I rarely work on weekends. People also are rarely aware of pay at Tesla. For high performers Tesla parts really really well. I have gotten offers from apple and Google after Tesla and none were much higher than what I make and obviously I like my work here better so I stayed.
I don't think Telsa pays too much.
