I was in dev plan early this year. After few months coach with my manager and did the coach plan wiht manager, he told me that he is satisfied the improvement in past few months, so I am survived from that dev plan. Though I guess the real reason is that one people left team early and we were busy, he just don't wanna lose another. But this week, I tried to switch to other team, I am surprise that I am still in the dev plan. I talk to my manager and he told me he put me in the dev plan again recently. Now I feel like probably he never put me out the dev plan at all. He keeps me in the dark all the time. Any suggestion? Sde1. I worked here for while. Mix of arbitrary and LE. But is it fair put me in dev plan again in 3 months and he didn't inform me. I think I have right to know if some shit happens.
There is no requirement to let someone know that they are on a dev plan. Find a company that will take care of immigration and also treat you with some respect.

Stop doing work , focus on interviewing. Pretend you are doing work without doing it. Your manager is clearly an asshole and you must find a way to teach him a lesson.
Believe me I wanna teach him a lesson more than anyone, but need more time to prepare interview.
It is not a manager, but you have to learn from this. He will fall on his own, but you can benefit from resolving this situation and growing, especially that you are ready to risk the employment.

Find next gig and leave. They don’t want you there. Amazon’s management style is to hire candidates with a belief that not every one can be Amazonian in long term so they only give small amount of stock for first two years, test candidates and churn and burn candidates out of firm whom they think don’t meet the bar or manager don’t like them. They will get you out regardless. It’s best to have plan B and leave as soon as you can than linger in the company which don’t value you and what you bring to table.
