İts awesome. Get a dual sim phone with big data plans on both and hit the road. Did it for 9months, 16,000+ miles. Then i started backpacking internationally....
I thought about it about 2 years ago. Biggest fear at the time was proper connectivity when out there.
What is exactly attractive about van life? Nobody explains it. I see people doing it who have no discernible skills. Why would a coder do this?

You’re locked in a van
Best trip in my life. Did it for 6 months
Only annoying thing is keeping a reliable data plan that can support work, if you are on a 9-5 type schedule. Also, not being able to enjoy the day bc you are working. Better to just take vacations
You buy 2 sets of phone lines. İ would recommend an ATT and a google fi. When one fails the other works since they pull from different networks. Just have to make sure that when you park at night you check to make sure there is enough connection. Or go to a starbucks or a local library to work during the day.
Lol ive sat at a starbucks for like 4 hours doing video calls and i think they ended up throttling me or something. Idk i think the nomad lifestyle works fantastic if you are freelancing or can set your own work hours but its a pain if you are tied to 9-5
Guy I met once did consulting (webdev I think?) from his Airstream while traveling around the country. Would drop into cities to meet with clients and then be otherwise remote. Seemed like a pretty sweet deal

How to save India from destruction?
It's only crazy if the van is down by the river.
