Currently a FE at Google, curious what it's like to be at a much smaller company that's still on the bleeding edge of tech and well funded.

They aren't on the bleeding edge and funding was a while back.

Not a lot of interesting stuff out there really. Maybe we should start something interesting?

Github needs to stop fucking around with the frontend and api and just keep the site up.

Qualified people in management don't last. They either quit or get fired.

GitHub is well funded, even if the funding was a few years ago. Saying it isn't seems to ignore reality.

At GitHub you will find a company that is in the process of figuring things out. Every six months it feels like a new GitHub.

GitHub's been an amazing company to work for. Certainly not perfect, but I find myself surrounded by reasonable people who are passionate about what we are doing. It's been great.
