If you’re only planning to invest for 5-6 years out, I’m not sure stocks would be the best option. They tend to be more volatile. I would look at short-term bonds, cds, and money market accounts.

How are stocks not a viable investment over 5-6 years? The last recession, which was the worst since the Great Depression, was actually short lived. You need to watch US stocks.

Three fund portfolio with index funds (vanguard) , plus some in high interest savings account like Wealthfront

How old are you? If young and single, drop half on aggressive stocks and the rest attempt to invest it in an actual startup.

Too risky

OP clearly wants to save his capital for future down payment.

BYND if you're looking for a great value play.

Bitcoin for high risk high rewards. Or if you have spare time, then just use it as down payments for a rental unit and rent it out

Look, you’re gonna get a lot of biased responses to that question...but the real question is, why do you have a low risk appetite with $200K? You need to be taking risks...

Uber LRhh33 OP Aug 22, 2019

All the news about yield curve and recession making me skeptical about being aggressive or taking risk. As someone mentioned, market is volatile. What would you recommend as high risk investments?

I’d be looking to buy good names at value prices. And the good ones aren’t high risk.
