Lots of us make decent money VS. average. It's not rare people save multiple M$s in 30s which is enough for most of people. Then why are you still working? Future uncertainty? Enjoying work? Or just get use to working? I am ok with my work, not really enjoy or hate. Working just helps me kill some time. My life might be more plain if not working. Sometime feel bad since cannot find motivations.
I'm still working because I don't have millions of dollars. Once I get millions of dollars, I will stop working.
I just want to save up enough for my startup ideas
Because I'm not in my 30s yet. Hoping to be FIRE by 33 (in 10 years).
To make a living. And I actually like what I do.
A lot of people have the FIRE mentallity and want to retire early when they reach this point. However when you hit a few million you are likely making 300k+ in this not-so-demanding industry. At that point it's hard to give up your salary. You can either live frugally off your millions and never work or work a not too tough job and completely ball out
This. But 300k+ comp for regular guys is a phenomen only in last few years. How to accumulate millions
Still got kids to go to colleges and want to leave some for them later as well.
Because some of us are underpaid for long time and need to work to support our family.
Fun...and healthcare
