I still see people on linkedin with titles like “GH18 scholar”/“GH18 attendee” Wtf is so great about attending a conference. I get it, you had a good time, but calm down. Saw a few more posts on linkedin about GH last week Edit: TC- 180k.
Because we have nothing better to put. I put "Won the late night raffle at a hackathon".
I don’t get it either. The value of a conference decreases significantly with the increase in the number of attendees. But hey, you better not call it out, lest you be branded a misogynist.
Well if you can skip the line, don’t do 8-round interview loops and straight away get to job offers, why not? Especially important event for young women (undergrads/grads/early career).
Wait what? There are no tech rounds? As in no coding involved? How is the candidate evaluated? I’m not talking about LeetCode, but surely it’s not getting an offer straightaway? Because that’s a big red flag.
Visibility: Lots of companies reach out for interviews. Lots of them host breakfast/luncheons/dinners/happy hours and essentially you have a great time connecting with amazing women across different companies and industries and seniority levels. How’d I know: anyone’s guess
This diversity shit doesn’t make sense...hire people based on merit ... simple rule... if you are trying to correct mistakes of the past by hiring people even when they are not competent enough you are making even bigger ones in the process
I haven heard it's all about bitc***g be it your spouse or manager - in short all men are insane and all women are fairies
