hi, just wanted to get an idea how it is to work for the supply chain technology side of UPS? I hear rumors about lay offs. How are the leaders work life balance flex hours telecommute any advice will help.
Can you be more specific about the job? Is it with SCS? What kind of technology side??
Work life balance is bad and the pay is some of the lowest in the industry. Not worth it unless you don't have any other options. I was on the customer tech side but we got 2 teleworking days a week. They're VERY rigid about it and really drive home how much they don't trust you. My coworkers were all great personally. Managers are nice but super out of touch with the modern world which is endlessly frustrating. They have all mostly just failed upwards because it's hard to get fired. Most engineers in the company have been there 30 years and are waiting to retire or they're new grads who will be gone in a year. They like to say they have flexible hours when hiring but they very much don't. Benefits are fine though. They pay for the health insurance which is nice but it's not particularly good. They have an okay bonus if you're eligible to receive it.
Thanks you sir, this was great info.

Leaders are generally busy with "package delays" Work life balance is great, but they never make left turns. Flex hours are actually encouraged to stagger deliveries. Telecommute is only allowed if you have magic ai drones.
You do know they do more than just deliver packages lol
