would you quit your job?

would you quit your job to stick it to your manager that you have come to loathe and despise? No? Too petty? I am considering it.

Do I have something else lined up? If not, do I have savings to support myself for at least a year of searching? If no, then definitely wouldn't. Not tryna move back in with my parents just to spite someone.

You serious? You want to piss away your job/career/future just b/c you don’t work well with your upper management??

I’ve done it - she tried to get me rejected when my next job contacted her for reference... If you don’t already have something lined up - you risk your future... I wouldn’t bet on it ending well....

Life is too short to work in a job you are fulfilled at, or a culture you don’t believe in.

Yes, for my own peace of mind. Not expecting that it will cause a lot of trouble to the manager.

Most employees are replaceable. If you feel that way towards the manager, it’s probably mutual. I like to call it “addition by subtraction” and you won’t be sticking anything to anyone

I’d only leave my job if I had something lined up that equivalent or higher TC. Would try to transfer positions internally first if possible.

If your manager is affecting your career and mindset then leave. There is another post about going back in time to make changes and there is multiple feedback about wishing they would have left bad managers. I saw a response here about impacting career by leaving. It’s the other way around. Bad manager will hold you back and possibly impact self esteem. Find better opportunity. Best way to leave and take control over career. Sometimes the chemistry isn’t there. I am sure you’re smart and talented. Find a role where you can thrive. Don’t stay for the sake of sticking it out

Leave for your career don't stick it out. They have no importance in your life who knows u might end up managing them someday. Any case be with better people and that will lead you to be better.
