Lets suppose you have a chance to work for a company - the product is interesting, co workers are friendly, and the business is profitable (or at least raised comfortable levels of funding) and also has presence. however, the past profile of workers come from a variety of backgrounds and are generally atypical - no FAANG profiles, but relevant for the industry. also, the technical interviews were quite light. really the hard hitters and impressive profiles come from the founders. would you take this job assuming the TC was comparable?
Yes, if the tech is good, and especially, if it is an up and coming company. I expect there to be a lot of opportunity to learn.
I mean if your bar of good coworkers is if they’re from FAANG, maybe you are not a good fit for the company.
A lot of companies and their hr department are into clout...what’s wrong for me to have that same mentality?
Nothing. That’s why I said, you’re not a good fit for a company since you’re specifically looking for FAANG colleagues.
Low bar and good compensation? Fuck yeah, just cruise and collect a paycheck
Rest and vest! 😁
Ok Big Head 😀
Not asking LC hard does'nt mean the employees are incompetent. 😒
Low bar and good tc is exactly what I would love to work for. If a company can provide this combination, I would never leave.
Op can you even get into fang? ...
why not but the risk is running into incompetent people at high level who can override your decision.. not a fun place to be at
