Got offer from zume with 190 base , 10k signon and around 320k rsu for 4 years. Not sure, how they calculated 50$ as the preferred price for each stock. And if we can sell the stocks to private equity market ? Any thoughts ?
I had also received an offer. Talked to few engineers there..they said dont come..management is clueless..too much pivoting..
Also most folks from coding bootcamps
Which site would you join?
As someone who works at Zume I would advise you not to join. I am not in tech but have been here for year and it is absolutely not beneficial for you career especially if you're in tech
Are the pizzas any good?
Don’t join. It’s a complete mess. The stock is valued as if there was actually a product that was being sold for hundreds of millions of dollars, but it’s still at the vision stage. You will have to do all the work to even try to get it close to $50/share value. People are leaving in droves.
That's not accurate at all. I haven't seen a single person leave the company from my site. I'm only aware of 2 departures in total in the last 6 months. For a 500 person company in this job market that's remarkable. I will agree that our stock is overvalued and we are definitely still finding product market fit, but "people are leaving in droves," is an outright lie. To preempt the BS, I am not from HR. TC: $300k
As someone who is aware of every termination and doesn’t have my head in the sand like you, I can say that I am being accurate, people are leaving in droves, and you are just ignorant of the situation. To preempt the BS, your evidence is because you don’t see something, it doesn’t exist. My evidence is seeing all the terminations. 🤷♂️

I’d stay away from them. They are not going to scale more just selling pizzas. $320K would end worth nothing
I heard their pizza business is POC and they are into food supply chain system now with their infrastructure
Yea, but they haven’t made inroads into their IoT much. Engineers are as inexperienced as their management.
