67% of Techies Think They Are Changing the World

Founders and tech employees often talk about how their company or product is changing the world.

We decided to ask our users to answer with either True or False to this statement: I believe my company is making the world a better place.

The results are clear- tech employees overwhelmingly believe that their company is changing the world for the better. In fact, 66.8% responded to the statement with True. Here’s what we found when we broke down the results by companies with at least 50 employee responses:

  • 91.23% of Tesla employees responded with ‘True,’ indicating that they feel the company is making the world a better place. This is the highest among all companies with at least 50 employee responses.
  • The four other companies with the highest percentage of employees answering with ‘True,’ are Uber (91.01%), Cruise Automation (85.45%), Google (84.94%), and LinkedIn (83.93%).
  • Oracle had the lowest percentage of employees who think their company is making the world a better place, with only 27.21% responding with ‘True.’
  • Rounding out the bottom five are Snapchat (29.67%), Oath (30.43%), Booking.com (32.67%), and Groupon (39.29%).
