Layoffs aren’t off the table

Fun has died at Google. Goodbye, responsibility!

Meta closed its responsible innovation team, which advised internal teams and academics about privacy and ethical issues within the company. Most of the team of about 24 people moved to different groups, but they weren’t guaranteed new jobs at the company.

Does anyone even care anymore?
