Ranking Company’s Responses To COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the biggest crisis many companies have had to face in their corporate lifetime. Few companies anticipated that something of this scope and size could happen, and they had to respond rapidly. On Blind, an anonymous professional network, with 3.6MM verified users, we asked three questions: 

Key Findings(DATA) as 8/16-8/24(4,300 Responses): 

    • During COVID-19, has your company empathized with your remote work needs?
          • Only 47% of Oracle  professionals responded “yes”, making them the company who empathized the least 
  • During COVID-19, has your company communicated with transparency?
    • 80% of surveyed professionals responded “yes”. 
        • Again, only 54% of Oracle  professionals responded “yes”, making them the company who communicated with the least transparency
  • During COVID-19, did your company adapt quickly to the “new normal”?
    • 85% of surveyed professionals responded “yes”. 
        • 100% of NVIDIA  professionals responded “yes”, making them the company who adapt the most quickly to the “new normal”
            • 97% of Salesforce professionals responded “yes”, 
          • Only 45% of ExxonMobil  professionals responded “yes”, making them the company that adapted the least quickly

Companies reacted to the outbreak either by adapting whatever crisis or continuity plans they had in place, or by starting from scratch, trying not to get caught too far behind their peers. The companies who showed empathy during this crisis overlap with those who communicated with transparency and were able to quickly adapt.
