12% of Professionals Have Already Received Their First VaccineThrough Their Employer

With three coronavirus vaccines approved for use in the United States and a presidential push to have enough doses for all adults by the end of spring, the nation is entering a new pandemic phase filled with ethical and legal questions.

On Blind, the largest anonymous professional network, a Google employee asked, “How many of you already signed up for your vaccines through your employer.”

According to data gathered by Blind, 12% of professionals have already received their first dose through their employer. Another 14% of professionals have registered for the vaccine through their employers. However, the overwhelming majority, 74%, have not heard anything about being vaccinated through their employer. 

24% of Cisco, 19% of Salesforce, 40% of Citibank, and 33% of Compass professionals have already received their first dose through their employer. 

63% of Zoox, 25% of Snap, and 33% of Bloomberg professionals have registered for the vaccine through their employers.

A Microsoft professional on Blind shared, “In India, the cost for the vaccine is $3.5 per dose, total $7 for 2 doses. All employers are covering the cost for families including parents.” 

Employers who want to ensure a safe and smooth re-entry into the workplace may want to know whether their employees have taken one of the vaccines. While users on Blind say they have either received or registered for a vaccine through their employer, there does not seem to be a single company with a company-wide policy on vaccinations.
