Blind raises $37M to scale anonymous workplace communities and bring value to companies

Blind announced today a $37 million Series C funding round led by Mainstreet Investment — with participation from Cisco Investments and Pavilion Capital. Returning Investors include Storm Ventures and DCM Ventures.

Blind is the leading anonymous workplace community for employees — over 5M verified professionals from the world’s leading firms like Amazon, Google, Facebook, and thousands of others share advice and valuable career insights. There are industry channels where peers can connect across companies and private company-only channels for coworkers.

“Blind has played a unique role for large enterprises over the last year as they’ve struggled to navigate remote work. While products like Slack and Zoom have become core, these platforms have failed as mediums to build community and as platforms employees can be authentically themselves,” said Frederik Groce, partner at Storm Ventures. “This is where Blind continues to have incredible success. Blind is a must-have product for large enterprises as employees continue to come in mass to the platform. We are thrilled to continue our support as they grow their team and product offerings. The future of work will continue to rely increasingly on remote and distributed work, and Blind will be a key product for managing your community, culture, and messaging in the world of today and tomorrow.”

With newly appointed Chief Product Officer Young Yuk, a former product executive at Intuit, Yelp, Glassdoor, and long-time advisor, Blind will focus on 1. continuing strong growth while maintaining integrity with our users and 2. building a sustainable monetization model, kicking off with Talent by Blind

“We’ve earned the trust of our community and maintaining that integrity will remain our top priority. Today our users come to Blind to have the freedom to talk honestly about work and find important information about work that they can’t find anywhere else.”
Sunguk Moon (Moon), Cofounder CEO
