Elon’s takeover
This week we all learned why Elon Musk recently declined a board seat: He wants to buy Twitter and take the company private.
The technoking submitted a bid to buy the Big Blue Bird for $54.20 a share in cash. Elon’s offer at a $43 billion valuation is a 38% premium but still a far cry from the company’s one-year high of $73 a share. Now, Twitter’s board is reportedly looking to dilute Elon’s ownership by selling additional shares at a discount.
