Work-life balance; nice culture, decent people; can find something mildly interesting to do
No cutting edge stuff, fair share of weird legacy if you're unlucky with the team A lot of people just coasting, including management, resulting in a lack of things being done TC seems to be mostly based on the tenure; don't hope to get any decent increases for the first couple of years regardless of how much you work, unless on the new-grad position
I joined Bloomberg recently as SSE. I am a bit scared about layoffs in tech industry. It has started to spread in finance as well. Can someone suggest if Bloomberg would be safe in near future? #layoff #tech
Have a new grad SDE offer at Bloomberg starting in mid September. Given the recent layoffs at companies such as Coinbase, Tesla, etc and the overall state of the fintech market. Is there a chance Bloomberg will start laying off as well? Yoe-0 TC- 180k #bloomberg #newgrad
Got an offer from them. Looks like any company could lay off - sales force, LinkedIn etc. Should I join just for job security? #layoff #layoffs #bloomberg TC: 270k Yoe: 5

I recall Bloomberg always reported “expect to layoff” before the company announcement. I am pretty sure that it was right to predict both Meta layoff rounds, Microsoft layoff. Maybe it predicted more but I didn’t recall. So Bloomberg is always right? Next time you see Bloomberg reports layoff, it i...Read more
Looking at pace Bloomberg is trying to hire layoff Faang employees with high pay. Do you think they will end up doing layoffs in mid or end of 2023 saying we over hired too many engineers and Mike their CEO will say it’s my mistake like all other CEOs do it with sorry face. Is it really safe to join...Read more

I've been working at Bloomberg for over a year now. With the way the job market is, I was wondering if Bloomberg has ever laid off people before or if it could in the future? I work in the UK on a tier 2 visa, so this uncertainty has caused me to rethink about whether I should start preparing for i...Read more

https://twitter.com/pitdesi/status/1587959289221906433 I was going to write that he plans to layoff 50% but I remembered that he went out of his way to screw laid off Tesla employees by firing them for cause to skip out on paying severance.
Bloomberg posted that Intel is planning to layoff huge number of employees but in linkedin they posted the highest number of vacancies in past 24 hours. Does this make any sense? Why layoff people when you have openings? If you are restructuring then change the team of existing employees. https://...Read more
