Netflix lost 430,000 subscribers in the US and Canada in the second quarter and issued weaker than expected forecasts for later in the year, rekindling investor doubts over how the streaming group will fare after the economic reopening. The company predicted it would add 3.5m subscribers in the thi...Read more
Hey guys, I know there have been a lot of layoffs in video streaming recently and I'm sorry for anyone who is suffering right now. I'm working exclusively with Comcast, and we are hiring into a number of departments for SW Engineers working in video streaming. If anyone is struggling to find work ...Read more
Title says it all… Everyones home watching tv and streaming all the services… Impacted services for me - Amazon prime Netflix Peacock Disney plus I’m on xfinity comcast - I guess 300mb plan. Anyone affected?
Title says it all. If buy, which one is good for about 8-10 devices streaming? ATT/Comcast compatible. 3700 sq ft home in Atlanta. 2 floors. Pros/Cons for each.
Apparently Comcast caps the internet usage at 1024GB per month, which is not much for a family streaming on multiple devices and working from the home office. I know I should have read the fine print... What alternatives should I explore?
At my house, we have music unlimited and stream kiddy movies all day long on at least one but sometimes 2 or 3 tvs at once. I've disabled UHD content but I'm getting Comcast anxiety as I'm really close to reaching their monthly 1TB cap. They charge $10 per 50G after your first 1024Gb. I could cut ba...Read more
Comcast sucks ass. I can barely keep two devices streaming simultaneously and I have outages every other week. I’m supposed to have 150 down and I barely get half that. Folks that have made the switch to at&t in Bay Area - how has your experience been so far?

Assuming att will come out with one soon if they haven’t already. Other ISPs around the world likely to follow. 2. The hardware from these ISPs (like f...Read more

If I use U-verse, it is about 20Mbps (or 25Mbps?) and it is right below the Apple TV 4K streaming requirement. But Comcast, some 10 years ago, wasn't too reliable (it may have outage for 8 hours once in a while and they refund you $0.69 for it). So I am considering having both U-verse and Xfinity....Read more

I have gigabit internet from xfinity with 7 devices online including streaming. I am using MacBook pro for work. Whenever I connect zoom call, after few minutes internet connection on my Mac drops and zoom restarts > wifi connects automatically after few seconds and I get reconnected to zoom call
Win-win for both sides: Netflix doesn't have to invest very much (if anything) at all or build out an engineering team. Plus it splits its ad business and revenue share with a company that doesn't compete in the streaming space (unlike Google, Amazon or Comcast etc). Microsoft gets a big win for it...Read more
