I want to know whether is there a option for acquired company employees to negotiate salary during acquisition? Can you share your experiences?

The last 4 years I’ve been working with a professional services firm that I’ve helped grow significantly - I was employee #1. The owner just sold the company and now has a 12 month earn out. I didn’t have equity and he’s offered no bonus or compensation- just “thanks, couldn’t have done it w/o you.”...Read more
The company I currently work for is looking to be acquired, specifically focused on a strategic investment/acquihire due to market condition and COVID related delays. Currently, I feel I'm underpaid; however, I was okay with it because I love the work and was fine waiting for later raises. Anyone ...Read more
I've been working on this algorithm for a while for a specific customer base. Say this algorithm can be scaled and used for a much wider array of products. How do large companies go about acquiring or using it as part of their platform?
So Vudu is being #acquired by Fandango and employes will be getting new offers from Fandango. I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and did you negotiate the #offer?
The small hardware company I work at is in the process of being acquired over the next 3 months. Revenue exists but it is low so not sure how big the acquisition will be. I have 15 YOE (mostly semiconductor hardware) and been here for a little over 2 years. I got a few options, nothing huge like th...Read more

With big acquisitions coming up like Adobe & Figma or Broadcom & VMware I wanted to hear from those that went through a previous buyout. How long did it take the culture of the company to start looking like the company that bought them? #tech #adobe #microsoft #amazon #google
I know many people on blind focus on working for these huge tech companies by the traditional recruiting process. However, I’m curious to know for those whose startups been acquired by a FANG how did that hiring process go??
Is this suspicious- does that mean they are doing layoffs? Should I start looking? Heard of coworkers getting PIP too. YOE 3 TC ~120K
I’m a junior SWE and feel like I might get PIPed or fired soon. My manager has been distant ever since I made a mistake that brought a lot of negative attention to him and our team. WLB is so good and everything was going great until then. I would love to coast here if I could. I do have a job offe...Read more
From PayPal buying Honey to Morgan Stanley acquiring E*Trade to most recently Intuit getting Credit Karma, what do you think about all of these fintech acquisitions? Do you see more fintech being bought out?
How much did you make when the company you were working in got acquired? If can give details like how much was initial grant, tenure at the company, how much made etc it will be useful for the community.
Have there been a lot of other companies where this happens? I'm pretty new to all of this and hearing rumors about getting separated from ebay?? Should I be expecting big changes...or layoffs?
There's a bunch of startups doing accelerators for ML/DL. Everybody trying a different take. Hardware is hard. It's expensive, difficult to develop and even more difficult for customers to try it (you can only give so many free samples for evaluation). Which begs the question: are they for real an...Read more

Interviewed last week with Instructure, which I know has a shit score on blind. They mentioned their previous strategy used to be “build it and they will come” and now it’s just buy out the competition. Mergers and acquisitions. This combined with them being bought out by private equity seems like ...Read more
